Solar Power Plant and BESS for Eliz Cable Factory
A 0.11 MW solar power plant and a 0.1 MW battery energy storage system provide Eliz Cable Factory with locally generated electricity, reduce production costs and improve the stability of its energy supply.
Solar Garden implemented an integrated energy solution for Eliz Cable Factory in Zaporizhzhia, combining a 0.11 MW solar power plant with a 0.1 MW battery energy storage system.
The solar power plant is based on Longi Solar modules rated at 530 W and 585 W. A Huawei SUN2000-100KTL-M2 inverter is used to convert the generated electricity and ensure the efficient operation of the industrial photovoltaic system.
The generated solar electricity is consumed directly on site to meet the factory’s own energy needs. This reduces electricity consumption from the central power grid and lowers the costs associated with cable production.
The battery energy storage system provides greater flexibility in the company’s energy consumption. It stores part of the generated solar electricity and makes it available during periods of increased demand or unstable operation of the external power grid.
By integrating solar generation and energy storage, Eliz Cable Factory improves the energy efficiency of its production processes, strengthens its energy independence and reduces its exposure to fluctuations in electricity tariffs.
The use of solar energy also helps reduce carbon dioxide emissions and supports modern principles of sustainable development and environmental responsibility in industrial production.
The project was completed within three weeks. The scope of work included the preparation of the technical solution, equipment supply, installation, integration of the battery storage system and commissioning of the facility.
